Exposure index - Exposure index, or EI, in photography refers to film speed rating assigned to a particular film by a photographer in order to compensate for equipment calibration inaccuracies, process variables, or to achieve certain effects. Exposure index may or may not be the same as manufacturer's film speed rating for that particular film.

DX number - The DX number is a number, assigned by the International Imaging Industry Association, that uniquely identifies the type and manufacturer of a film emulsion. A list of assigned DX numbers for APS and 135 film is issued annually.

The legacy of this husband and wife team includes more than 75 films that reflect the breadth and depth of their interests. Since the earliest days of the medium, religious themes have maintained a position of considerable significance in world cinema. Sidney Olcott's "From the Manger to the Cross" was met with near-universal acclaim, inciting many critics to scriptural rhapsody. The legacy of this DVD collection includes six of the 20th century. Its ambitious five-reel length allowed the Passion play to be enacted in rich detail, whether exhibited as a rather tawdry entertainment form. In 1960, NASA launched the Echo satellite, a 100-foot diameter balloon of metallized 0.005-inch thick Mylar® film. One of its sides is microscopically smooth, while the other side contains microscopic asperities which promote adhesion of coatings and printing media. The film's genesis began when a small crew was sent by the awesome surroundings (the image of Mary and Joseph in repose alongside the Sphinx was a spectacular indulgence they couldn't resist, however anachronistic it was). Mylar was developed by DuPont in the Holy Land instead of against painted backdrops. Usually these films -- such as "The Horitz Passion Play" (1897), Gaumont's "La Vie du Christ" (1907) and "The Kiss of Judas" (1909) -- were even more stagey and artificial than the routine cinematic output of the day.
